• Collaborate with imaging and data scientists, hardware, and software engineers to prototype and analyze sensor systems
• Support the application of advanced electro-optical sensor systems for terrestrial and space applications
• Develop and execute test designs and procedures for sensor system performance

• Communicate technical findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences

• PhD in Physics, Optical or Aerospace Engineering, or related field; MS with 5 or more years of related experience is acceptable
• Significant professional or academic experience in satellite remote sensing, radiative transfer modeling, or optical sensor characterization
• Proficiency in analytical and scientific programming (e.g., MATLAB, Python, C/C++)
• Demonstrable ability to solve complex technical problems and build productive working relationships
• Active Secret Security Clearance highly desired

• Familiarity with algorithm development, machine learning, and deep learning for remote sensing
• Experience with hardware assembly in clean room and ESD/test environments
• Background in space systems design and analysis
