Water Treatment Chemical Service Technician

A Water Treatment Chemical Technician will be responsible for working at a customer's data center in the Fort Wayne area. The Chemical Technician will solve customer water treatment concerns, perform extensive water treatment lab work, and troubleshoot water treatment and control equipment at a customer's data center.

As a Service Technician, you will receive an industry-competitive salary, expenses, and benefits. In addition, ample technical support is provided along with continuous training. Compensation is based upon experience and the ability to succeed. First year base salary $55,000 to $75,000 for a qualified candidate, plus a year-end bonus.

• Solve customers' water problems.
• Treat industrial cooling towers to keep them energy efficient and environmentally friendly.
• Perform detailed water testing and analyses at a data center.
• Help deliver on customer KPIs and promote Garratt-Callahan solutions including proprietary chemical blends, equipment, and monitoring technology.

You will be a successful applicant if you have a technical degree such as Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biology, Mechanical Engineering, Paper Science, or Water Resources. A four-year technical degree in the sciences is required to qualify for this position.

A successful applicant must have experience or interest in learning advanced water treatment technologies. The role requires being detail-oriented, adhering to safety protocols, and the ability to lift 50 pounds while wearing PPE in all weather conditions. One year of technical sales or an internship related to water treatment chemicals is preferred, but training and mentorship are available. You must live in or near the Fort Wayne area and be familiar with the industrial marketplace of the area.
