Aero Design Engineer - MRB (A&D Industry)

What You Will Do- Review and disposition non‑conforming material (parts), deviation requests, and waivers from OEM and supply base; support Aftermarket MRO reviews.
- Evaluate fit, form, function, interchangeability, health, safety, intended use, weight, appearance and classification (major vs minor) based on technical information.
- Interact technically with Design Authority as needed and determine part repair requirements or usage parameters.
- Maintain “Certified MRE” (Material Review Engineer) status; certification training provided by Quest Global.
- Conduct other typical design/support engineering activities and support business growth through daily work and interactions.
- Experience with component‑level aero/marine/industrial power gas turbine design, including material and engineering principles.
- BSAE / BSME degree (required).
- Ability to read/interpret drawings and understand GD&T.
- Experience reviewing engineering assessments, tolerance stacks, change/deviations, and repairs.
- Ability to apply quality requirements, assess hardware, interpret inspection data, and present technical data to customers and regulatory bodies (FAA, DCAA).
- Knowledge of modern high‑tech manufacturing processes (metal, composites) and associated equipment and gaging.
- Experience with MRP systems (Oracle/SAP/CAPP/Solumina).
- 7+ years of gas turbine engine component design experience for partial engine certification or 15+ years for full engine certification.
- Experience with MRB and/or non‑conformance evaluation (noteworthy).
- Engineering signatory responsibilities (noteworthy).
- Quality engineering experience and/or other quality certifications (noteworthy).
- Service provider mindset, self‑motivated, disciplined, organized, and maintain integrity & ethics.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
$70, USD, based on experience, skills, education, and other factors.
Work Requirements1st shift, on‑site position located in Middletown, PA with potential for local hybrid or full remote work.
- Must be able to commute with personal transportation to meet required hours.
- Shop floor environment may include extensive walking and lifting up to 40 lbs.
Minimal additional travel required.
