Field Engineer - Maintenance Services

With almost three decades of experience delivering exceptional outage, maintenance, electrical, and large capital construction projects, TEiC is known for its commitment to safety and customer satisfaction. Join us as a Field Engineer to support projects on‑site and in our home office, contributing to proposal development, scheduling, execution oversight, safety & quality, subcontract management, and reporting.

• Walk down work scopes and develop estimates and proposals for customer submittal with assistance from Area Managers.
• Write RFQs for subcontractors and obtain material quotes.
• Identify and mitigate proposal and contractual risks.
• Assist in developing and updating project execution plans and schedules (Primavera P6 or other).
• Develop rigging plans and obtain PE stamps with third‑party engineers.
• Update project progress in Ineight.
• Issue purchase orders through procurement and manage subcontractor deliveries.
• Ensure accurate completion and timely submission of all required project documents and reports.
• Serve as interface with engineering teams, providing direction and support in planning and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate within the project management team and with craft employees.
• Participate in project planning activities including corporate meetings, customer visits, and project team conference calls.
• Communicate with customer contacts to meet expectations and requirements.
• Report progress, changes, and updates to clients and TEiC leadership.
• Develop change order estimates and communicate changes to clients.
• Review engineering drawings to assess project impacts.
• Support operations with proposal development, schedules, and forecasting.
• Track project progress, earned value, and manage rigging and execution plans.
• Identify challenges, propose solutions, and communicate with clients.
• Manage time effectively between on‑site duties and home‑office tasks.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Construction Management strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of construction means and methods for maintenance activities in power generation projects.
• Strong decision‑making and problem‑solving skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work with a range of organizational levels.
• Willingness to travel and work remotely for periods of up to one month.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Experience with project management across the full project life cycle.
• Completion of OSHA 30‑Hour Construction Safety Training (or equivalent) required prior to hire or within 30 days of onboarding.
