R&D Scientist Your Tasks
  • Daily interaction with several teams across multiple disciplines
  • Development & characterization: develop, measure, and characterize detector systems to ensure high performance and reliability
  • System integration: assemble, test, and validate early prototypes, prototypes, and pre-series models
  • Testing & analysis: develop comprehensive test procedures, conduct system verification, and analyze multi-source data to uncover issues and optimize performance
  • Verification & compliance: perform measurements and assessments regarding EMC and CE certification, risk assessment, and safety testing
  • Infrastructure: co-develop and maintain the infrastructure required to support characterization and verification
  • Technical support: provide expertise in detector systems, technical support, and cross-functional collaboration
  • (Optional) Safety responsible: act as the safety responsible of the development laboratory
Your Skills

We are looking for a flexible problem-solver to join our team.

Must-Have Skills
  • Team-oriented hands-on person
  • Education:

    master’s degree or higher in physics, engineering (electrical, system, mechanical), or a similar field
  • Lab experience: proven experience in laboratory work, execution of experiments and measurements, and data analysis
  • Programming: experience with interfacing with hardware in Python
  • Physics knowledge: understanding of solid state detector physics, thermodynamics, and radiation interaction with matter
Desired Technical Skills

Experience in one or more of the following fields:

  • Measurement automation an software testing
  • Data analysis and statistical methods
  • Fluid dynamic simulation
  • Compliance: familiarity with EMC/safety compliance and risk assessment is an asset

The System Integration Team participates in the development of detector systems  ensure the reliability and compliance of the detectors, contribute to research and innovation, and support the integration across multiple disciplines. While the team typically focuses on products, we engage with detector systems at different stages of development and develop most of the system verification infrastructure. We contribute to develop detector systems that are not only technically advanced but also safe, reliable and robust.
