We are seeking a qualified Project Engineer with 8‑15 years’ experience to become a part of our growing Highway Design Group for our Albany, Syracuse, and White Plains offices. Our highway engineers work on a variety of projects and interact with traffic engineers, structure engineers and our construction inspection staff.

• Developing roadway, trail and sidewalk designs
• Intersection design and layout including roundabouts and traffic signals
• Checking design calculations prepared by others
• Preparation of construction contract documents
• Project coordination, report writing and estimating
• Direct coordination with clients

• Perform broader assignments than an Engineer III.
• Plan, schedule, conduct or coordinate detailed phases of engineering work in part of a major project.
• Plan and conduct web-based work requiring some judgment and independent evaluation.
• Apply standard technology and procedures.
• Conduct analysis choosing appropriate applications.
• Anticipate bigger project objectives.
• Complete intermediate and limited complex engineering assignments.
• Perform cost and quantity estimating.
• Attend project meetings and present specific aspects of engineering assignments.
• Responsible for report writing for basic projects and some intermediate projects.
• Project engineer of basic projects – staffing, scope, schedule, budget.
• Assume client relations for routine basic projects.
• Provide some delegation and supervision of Engineer III’s and Technicians.
