Engineering Project & Business Development ManagerAs part of our long‑term commitment to strategic growth, Delve Underground has identified Texas as a strategic growth market. We are looking for an experienced professional engineer to lead business development opportunities in Texas, open and maintain an office in one of the identified locations, while also working on a wide variety of nation‑wide underground infrastructure projects. This role may be based in Dallas, Houston, or Austin.
Responsibilities- Work in cooperation with Delve Underground’s corporate Central Region manager and Gulf Territory manager to develop and maintain a business development plan for Texas.
- Lead business development for Dallas and coordinate pursuits with other offices and teaming partners.
- Open and maintain a Delve office in Houston, Austin, or DFW. Maintain office budget and develop and implement a staffing plan.
- Participate in client interviews and presentations.
- Participate in local industry conferences and seminars.
- Foster relationships with existing and new clients and teaming partners. Meet to discuss current and future work.
- Lead the planning, design, and construction oversight of underground civil engineering projects.
- Establish work plans and manage multi‑disciplinary staffing across all project phases.
- Direct and coordinate activities to ensure projects progress on schedule and within budget.
- Coordinate with project control staff as required for project reporting and invoicing.
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from an accredited university.
- Professional engineer that has or can obtain a Texas PE license within six months.
- At least 12 years’ experience.
- Excels in a “Seller‑Do‑er” role.
- Project management, staff management, and client interaction experience.
- Aptitude and interest in business development, team building, and partnering.
- Motivated self‑starter who can work remotely.
