We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer III - IV in our New York, NY office

As a Mechanical Engineer III- IV
, you will be responsible for creating basic designs under the direction of senior engineers and/or senior designers, performing equipment selections, and load/energy and pressure drop calculations for a variety of projects. You will progress from basic design work to more complex projects in collaboration with a technical team.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Represent Syska Hennessy Group and interact with internal design teams, external clients, consultants, owners, builders, developers, program managers, architects, vendors, etc.
- Coordinate with other disciplines and the entire design team (architectural and engineering, internal and external).
- Conduct field inspections to determine existing conditions and coordinate new work.
- Assist the Senior Engineer in preparation of due diligence, feasibility, gap analysis, and other technical reports and drawings using CAD/REVIT.
- Master drawing organization format and company standards.
- Take ownership of completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of work assignments.
- Attend continuing education seminars on technical or professional topics.
Successful candidates should demonstrate strong REVIT and MEP skills from mark-ups through the production of detailed drawings, with basic knowledge of construction documentation and design phase requirements. Familiarity with energy analysis software (eQuest, Trace, etc.) is a plus.
Additional requirements include:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution
- Minimum of 3.5 to 8 years of relevant MEP experience across projects such as Aviation, Healthcare, Commercial, and Mission Critical
- Latest version of AutoCAD MEP and REVIT
- Basic understanding of proper system selection
- Basic knowledge of applicable codes
- FE certification required; PE preferred
- Experience in Aviation/Transportation and large-scale projects with interest in Project Management is highly preferred
- Salary range for New York: $86,308 - $148,882 USD
