Product Development Engineer
The Impact You'll Make in this Role- Work with Commercialization and Product Engineering teams to ensure laboratory testing for development and sustaining activities is completed based on project needs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional global teams composed of members from manufacturing, quality, regulatory, application engineering, business, clinical, and multiple other functions to maintain product continuity.
- Drive impactful product development experiments for New Product Introduction (NPI) teams and design changes to existing commercialized projects to maximize customer satisfaction and promote business success.
- Integrate new products into sustained operations by consulting with NPI teams during Scale Up through design ownership transfer.
To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in science or engineering discipline (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution.
- One (1) year of combined experience developing, supporting and/or maintaining commercialized dental products in a private, public, government or military environment.
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
- Minimum three (3) years of experience in product development and/or manufacturing experience in the medical device industry and/or medical device Quality Management Systems (QMS).
- Advanced knowledge and experience with currently marketed dental products (composite restoratives, adhesives, abrasives, cements, etc.).
- Experience of collaborating with laboratory, quality, and manufacturing colleagues.
- Experience with test method development and material property data collection.
- Statistical knowledge and practice.
- Hybrid Eligible (Job Duties allow for some remote work but require to be in Eagan R&D Headquarters Laboratory at least 4 days per week).
- May include up to 10% domestic/international travel.
- Not authorized.
- Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).

The expected compensation range for this position is $71,200 - $97,900, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position.
