U.S. West Coast (Hybrid) - Project-based travel
Qualtech is looking for a Field Project Manager to lead the on-site execution of industrial fluid process systems for food and dairy facilities.
This role sits where engineering meets the plant floor: installation, integration, and commissioning of process systems.
What you’ll do- Coordinate mechanical, piping, and equipment integration
- Work with automation teams during system start-up
- Solve real-time technical challenges on site
- Ensure safety, quality, and schedule performance
- Act as the technical bridge between field crews, engineers, and clients
You won’t just manage schedules; you’ll bring systems to life.
Exposure to:
- Turnkey industrial systems
- Mechanical + automation integration
- Plant commissioning
- Client-facing leadership
Ownership of projects typically within 12–18 months.
What we’re looking for- Strong understanding of P&IDs and system layouts
- Familiarity with industrial automation environments
- Experience in food, beverage, or chemical processing preferred
- 5+ years in process systems, installation, commissioning, or plant operations

While the main office is in Petaluma, we welcome candidates from the West Coast to apply since this is a hybrid position. Travel occurs primarily during installation and commissioning phases and is balanced with office and remote work.
