We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer - CF/HC to join our Hamilton, NJ office. As a Senior Engineer, you will be responsible for providing trade-specific system design: layout (mark-ups as well as self-performed production utilizing CAD/BIM), calculations (utilizing appropriate software), and other related design services including coordination with the designs of other trades.

Job Responsibilities- Direct and lead the design team on a wide number of projects.
- Review for completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of the work assigned, and learn technical and operational issues from supervising designers and engineers.
- Assume responsible charge for the overall economic wellbeing of the assigned projects.
- Conduct due diligence reports that comply with group and company standards and procedures; establish design standards, specifications, and criteria for projects.
- Design large projects, prepare reports and specifications, and provide a high level of technical leadership.
- Establish project budgets and schedules.
- Network within SHG and with external stakeholders.
- Participate in QA/QC processes of completed work by staff.
- Perform as Engineer of Record for projects.
- Perform calculations, equipment selection and specification, system design, system layout, field investigation, and construction administration.
- Manage staff resources and provide guidance as needed.
- Produce drawings consistent with client requirements and standards.
- Provide consulting engineering services including due diligence reports, gap analyses, and feasibility reports.
- Pursue continuing education.
- Represent the Firm in interactions with clients, contractors, architects, and other project team members.
- Take responsible charge for the project for the discipline, addressing any E&O issues.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Electrical discipline.
- 8+ years of relevant experience in the MEP industry;
Critical Facilities and Healthcare experience required. - Professional Engineer (PE) licensure is required.
- Hands-on design and CAD/REVIT experience is required, as you will have a very strong technical role.
