Position: Senior System Engineer - Remote / Telecommute

Job Description

Pay Range: $56hr - $61hr

Requirement / Must Have
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field from an accredited college or university.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working with Nuclear Plant Safety Systems and Components.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working with multi-disciplined engineering or operations teams on BWR Nuclear Power Plant Systems.
Experience
  • At least 2 years of experience serving as a lead or lead contributor on major projects.
  • Experience with design, evaluation, and operation of nuclear power plant components, primarily BWRs.
  • Commercial nuclear power plant systems experience.
Responsibilities
  • Perform EPU evaluations for various NSSS systems.
  • Work with a team of engineers to support general system evaluations and emergent system-related requests.
  • Lead and conduct calculations, design analyses, evaluations, and verifications for BWR safety and non-safety system functions.
  • Apply engineering knowledge and practical experience to analyze, investigate, and resolve complex design and application issues.
  • Support fleet operating BWRs through technical assessments and engineering solutions.
Skills
  • In-depth knowledge of BWR reactor major NSSS systems such as CRD, Recirculation, ECCS, RWCU, SLC, Main Steam including MSIVs and SRVs, HPCI, RCIC, and HPCS.
  • Familiarity with setpoint calculation standards and regulations such as ISA 67.04.01 and RG 1.105.
  • Strong technical skills within a project management environment.
  • Knowledge of BWR nuclear plant systems, analysis techniques, commercial plant outages, and nuclear industry practices.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including customer interface experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple demands and changing priorities.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
Qualification and Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field from an accredited institution.
