Role DescriptionThis is a full-time hybrid role for a Project Engineer based in Arlington, VA, with some flexibility to work from home. The Project Engineer will be responsible for assisting in planning, coordinating, and managing construction projects from start to completion. Duties will include overseeing project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation, ensuring compliance with technical specifications, working collaboratively with cross-functional teams, and resolving project-related challenges.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with Subcontractor coordination and communication
- Manage submittals, RFIs, and document logs
- Track project schedules and update internal reporting tools
- Assist with budget tracking and change order documentation
- Conduct site visits and assist superintendent with daily coordination
- Support procurement of materials and long-lead items
- Assist with preconstruction pursuits
- Proficiency in Electrical Engineering concepts and practices
- Understanding construction sequencing
- Budget tracking fundamentals
- Client communication basics
- Exposure to estimating and preconstruction
- Excellent Communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficient in reading drawings and specifications
- Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
- Familiarity with relevant project management/organizational software tools and technologies such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc), Google Drive/Sheets, and Primavera P6 Scheduling software
