About The Role
We're looking for a Senior Environmental & Sustainability Advisor to join our team on the Isle of Skye. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to make a real difference—helping us care for the environment while supporting projects that matter to the local community. You'll be our go-to person for environmental and sustainability advice, ensuring our work not only meets Scottish environmental regulations but also leaves a positive legacy for people and nature.
From advising project teams to building relationships with local organisations and regulators, your expertise will help us do things the right way.
- Give clear, practical advice on environmental and sustainability matters
- Make sure projects comply with Scottish environmental regulations and good practice
- Carry out environmental checks and suggest improvements
- Develop and oversee Environmental Management plans
- Support initiatives to cut carbon, protect biodiversity, and use resources wisely
- Share your knowledge and mentor others in the team
- A degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Ecology or a related field
- Experience in an environmental advisory role, ideally at senior level
- Good knowledge of Scottish environmental legislation and permitting
- A practical approach to developing sustainability plans and putting them into action
- Strong communication skills – you'll be comfortable talking with both technical teams and local communities
- Professional membership (such as CEnv or MIEMA) would be a bonus
