Overview

About The Role Balfour Beatty is looking to appoint an Assistant Bid Manager to join our Regional Civils team
, supporting the delivery of high-quality, compliant, and competitive bids across the UK. Working closely with Bid Managers and wider work-winning teams, you will support the end-to-end bid process
, helping to coordinate internal and external contributors to deliver proposals that align with Balfour Beatty’s strategic objectives and maximise our chances of success. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your career within a leading infrastructure organisation, gaining exposure to complex and varied civil engineering bids.

What you'll be doing

  • Supporting the management of the bid process from opportunity identification through to submission
  • Assisting with the planning, coordination, and delivery of high-quality bid responses
  • Ensuring bids are compliant with client requirements and internal governance processes
  • Coordinating inputs from technical, commercial, planning, and delivery teams
  • Managing bid documentation, programmes, and review milestones
  • Supporting bid reviews, lessons learned, and continuous improvement activities
  • Contributing to the development of compelling written and visual bid content
Who we're looking for

You Will Have The Following

  • Experience in bid management, work winning, or a related project coordination role
  • Strong organisational and project management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Confidence working collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Construction or civil engineering experience is preferred
