Field Application Engineer
We are currently seeking a Field Application Engineer with experience in Automated Test Equipment in the Colorado and Austin Texas Area.
This is a Remote position, but you are required to be located in the South East or Austin Texas area. You will work from home but travel 40% of the time. You will need to be local to an airport.
We're a passionate, hard-working team that is leading the test and measurement industry in the design of modular signal switching and simulation for use in electronic test and verification.
The Field Applications Engineer role will eventually move into a Field Sales Engineer role with unlimited technical sales potential and compensation.

The Field Applications Engineer (FAE) will be working in a hybrid role, based from a home office in the central Florida, Atlanta area or Austin, TX and will be responsible for establishing and/or expanding our modular switching and simulation business for accounts related to Automated Testing.
Responsibilities- Supporting customer applications, key account knowledge, networking, developing new accounts and supporting the strategic objectives of the National Sales Manager.
- The FAE will also provide market and industry/competitive data from the field to product development teams and nurture sales opportunities from inception to close while utilizing funnel management techniques and CRM software (Salesforce).
- Collaborate with Regional Sales Manager and other Field Sales Managers, Business Development Manager, and the technical and customer support teams as necessary.
- Travel about 40% of the time.
- Establish and expand our modular switching and simulation business for accounts related to Automated Testing.
- Develop customer relationships and on-site visits with key customers to build preference in working with us.
- Provide input to Product Marketing, Engineering, and Operations to help direct new product development that reflects market trends and customer needs.
- Create and present proposals, negotiate orders, and ensure proper paperwork is submitted.
- Maintain and report an opportunity funnel/forecast for general business and large project opportunities.
- Demonstrate knowledge of products to engage in technical discussions with systems engineers and guide solutions using our products/services.
- Monitor after-sales support for customer satisfaction.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronics Engineering preferred. Other degrees with relevant technical business development and/or sales experience considered.
- Excellent understanding of basic electrical concepts, preferably with prior experience in engineering and/or sales of ATE, switching and/or data acquisition systems.
- Ability to travel 40% of the time.
- Strong commercial acumen and advanced negotiating skills.
