As a Delta
V Control Systems Engineer, you’ll serve as a Project Lead Engineer or Project Engineer on large‑scale control system implementations spanning the entire project lifecycle – from initial proposal through successful commissioning. You’ll work within a collaborative team environment while taking ownership of specific Delta
V deliverables across multiple simultaneous projects. This role offers the perfect blend of technical leadership, hands‑on engineering, and mentorship opportunities.
- Serve as Project Lead Engineer or Project Engineer for complex Delta
V implementations in pharmaceutical environments - Design and develop sophisticated control strategies for continuous and batch process control systems
- Configure Delta
V graphics and control system databases that meet stringent GMP requirements - Review and approve critical project design drawings and P&IDs
- Develop comprehensive project documentation including URS, DS, and FRS specifications
- Lead factory acceptance testing to ensure systems meet customer specifications
- Provide on‑site startup support and process equipment commissioning
- Mentor and develop junior engineers, sharing your expertise and best practices
- Collaborate with Project Managers on planning, scheduling, and project execution
- Troubleshoot complex process control and equipment issues
Required Qualifications:
- 4+ years of hands‑on Delta
V configuration experience with continuous or batch process control systems - Knowledge of industry standards: ISA S88, GAMP5, and 21
CFR
11 - Ability to read and interpret P&IDs and instrumentation/controls wiring diagrams
- Site startup and process equipment support experience
- Process control and equipment troubleshooting expertise
- Technical writing proficiency for validation documentation (URS, DS, FRS)
- Understanding of factory floor communication protocols for system integration
- Excellent communication skills for client‑facing interactions
- Ability to travel regularly to client sites throughout the NYC tri‑state region
- Pharmaceutical or Life Sciences industry experience
- GMP facility qualification experience
- PLC programming and HMI/SCADA platform knowledge
- Technical Leadership: Lead high‑visibility projects for premier pharmaceutical clients
