Steere is seeking an entry level NBIS Bridge Inspection Engineer with 0-2 years’ experience to join our Inspection Group and assist with inspection projects throughout New England. The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in Civil engineering, as well as a willingness to learn and a desire to work on bridge inspection projects both indoors and out.
Typical Duties- Review plans and previous bridge inspection reports in preparation for the inspection
- Assist the team leader in bridge inspections
- Assist in preparing/reviewing inspection reports in accordance with various state requirements
- Project budget and schedule involvement
- Bachelor of Science from an ABET accredited University specializing in structural engineering
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Physically capable of performing continuous field work
- Desire to learn and work in a team environment
- EIT
- Interest and experience in bridge design and bridge ratings
