What Your Job Will Be LikeWe are seeking a highly motivated Engineering Support Technologist to contribute to our group’s mission of developing high assurance products. On any given day, you may be called on to:
- Fabricate and test prototype hardware
- Troubleshoot analog and digital electronics
- Perform work such as soldering and cable fabrication
- Design and fabricate bench‑top hardware
- Develop and execute procedures to test the functionality of hardware and software against requirements
- Operate test equipment such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, logic analyzers, signal processors, multimeters, and temperature chambers
Due to the nature of the work, the selected applicant must be able to work onsite 100% of the time.
The position requires the ability to travel up to 10% to support the mission.

Salary Range$74,700 – $144,400
Salary range is estimated, and actual salary will be determined after consideration of the selected candidate’s experience and qualifications, and application of any approved geographic salary differential.
Qualifications We Require- High school diploma plus three or more years of directly related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to acquire a DOE Q‑level security clearance.
- Electronics troubleshooting experience and familiarity with laboratory test equipment
- Ability to fabricate prototype and test hardware
- Experience testing and analyzing analog and digital circuits
- Skills in cables and harness building
- Practical experience populating printed circuit boards
- Associate’s degree in a related technical discipline
- Excellent teaming and communication skills
- Good organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
- Maintaining thorough, well‑organized test data and related documentation
- Experience developing test procedures
- Familiarity with data acquisition systems
- Experience with environmental testing
- Skill with technical drawings, schematics, and data sheets
- IPC‑A‑610 & IPC‑J‑STD‑001 certifications
The High Assurance Product Realization group develops embedded and ground support equipment in support of high assurance National Security missions. We are a leader for high‑assurance National Security hardware, utilizing current and advanced electronic hardware approaches, tools, and techniques in developing information assurance subsystems. These responsibilities span research, design, development, production liaison, and existing product evaluation for use‑control applications. Our staff develops custom electronic technologies in support of the DOE/DoD Use Control community and specializes in real‑time embedded electronic design solutions with an emphasis on security and reliability.
The team also plays a key role in developing, maturing, and deploying advanced technologies for next‑generation weapons systems and information assurance products.
