Electronics Packaging Analyst III, Telework

Join us at Lockheed Martin as an Electronics Packaging Engineer within our Electronics Packaging department where you will have responsibilities for electronics packaging development including mechanical design, stress and thermal analysis, and electronics and mechanical CAD (drawing development and release).

This position is a teleworking position.

To be effective in this role you will need experience performing preliminary and detailed level stress, thermal, and solder fatigue analysis of spacecraft & missiles flight electronic components and boxes using standardized processes and tools. You will work in a multi-disciplined team environment, support design trades, meet mechanical and system level requirements, deliver flight worthy components and assemblies, provide test data, and have 3+ years professional experience.

• Bachelor of Science or higher in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Basic understanding of electronics packaging analysis and willingness to learn advanced techniques.
• Experience with spacecraft or missiles analysis methods for electronic components.
• Finite element modeling experience for random vibration and thermal analysis.

• Collaborative team environment work.
• Thermal and structural fatigue analysis of electronic components and attachments.
• Experience with NASTRAN, NX Advanced Simulation, Abaqus, Matlab, Mathcad and CREO.
• Static, vibration, acoustic, modal, shock, thermal test experience of aerospace flight hardware.
• Familiarity with different electronic package types and mounting methods.
• Strong written and oral communication, social and presentation skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility. The schedule for this position is 9x80 with every other Friday off. The employee will work remotely full time and may travel to a Lockheed Martin office for periodic meetings.

Annual base salary range varies by location: $89,300 – $157,550 for most states, $102,800 – $178,135 in major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York. Incentive plan eligible.
