About the Senior Chemical Regulatory Compliance Specialist (EU)The Senior Chemical Regulatory Compliance Specialist is responsible for ensuring that chemical substances and mixtures comply with applicable European and country-specific chemical legislation, including REACH, CLP, and related national requirements (e.g., Germany, UK, Netherlands, Switzerland, Turkey).
The role supports multiple sites and technologies to ensure consistent regulatory compliance across the organisation and acts as a subject matter expert on EU chemical regulatory matters.
What You Will Do- Ensure compliance with EU, UK, and country-specific chemical regulations (REACH, CLP, and related national requirements)
- Manage regulatory submissions, including registrations, notifications, Poison Centre Notifications (PCN), and product classifications
- Review and advise on Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and chemical labelling in accordance with CLP and downstream user obligations
- Monitor regulatory developments and assess their impact on existing and future materials
- Provide regulatory guidance to internal stakeholders (R&D, Operations, Supply Chain, Sales)
- Act as primary contact for competent authorities during inspections, audits, and regulatory inquiries
- Support customer and internal compliance‑related queries and investigations
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Toxicology, Environmental Sciences, or a related scientific field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in chemical regulatory compliance within a manufacturing or chemical industry environment
- In‑depth knowledge of REACH, CLP, GHS, and related European chemical legislation
- Proven experience with regulatory submissions, registrations, notifications, and interaction with authorities
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and German
