The position is a Full Time Permanent Position, Monday to Friday,
Hours:
8:30 – 5:00. This is a remote position with extensive travel in the province of Quebec requiring occasional weekend work.

· Serve as the primary technical contact for dealers, boat builders, and end users.
· Provide timely support via phone, email, fax and MercNET
· Accurately document all customer interactions
· Deliver onsite technical assistance when required
· Diagnose and resolve technical issues using independent judgment
· Evaluate product failures in accordance with warranty and integrity policies
· Approve or deny warranty claims using consistent, fair decision-making
· Perform component inspections and teardowns to assess warranty eligibility
· Obtain and maintain Mercury Certified Technician status (required)
· Develop troubleshooting guides to support dealer diagnostics
· Provide training to dealer personnel and internal teams
· Assess dealer service performance and assist in building improvement plans related to customer service, profitability and overall service quality
· Support dealer applications renewals, terminations and non-renewals
· Collaborate with sales and credit teams on dealer-related matters
· Lead initiatives focused on CSI and NPS performance
· Mentor dealer technicals through Mercury University career paths
· Promote marine service careers through local trade schools and vocational programs
· Conduct onsite visits to support dealers and OEMs
· Advise OEMs on product configuration, installation, training and system integration
· Provide in-person support for consumer product inquiries and issues
· Assist the Legal team with product liability and failure investigations including onsite inspections and depositions
· Represent Mercury Marine at boat shows, tournaments and special events
· Support the Large Vessel Support Specialist team on specialty products when needed
Knowledge,Skills and Abilities
· Bilingual in English and French (required)
· Strong knowledge of Mercury Marine products and marine vessel systems – particularly electrical
· Excellent communication skills and professionalism under pressure
· Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills
· Ability to document, identify, and escalate emerging product issues
· High organized with strong computer proficiency
· Self-directed, able to work independently with minimal supervision
· Strong field-based troubleshooting skills for product, installation, and system integration issues
· Ability to make should decisions and assess risk in the field
· Willingness to travel extensively (50% - 75%), including occasional multi-week trips
· Valid passport and ability to travel internationally
Education & Experience- Technical College Degree or BS Engineering
- 2 – 4 years in technical experience in the marine industry or a related field
- Experience with Mercury Marine products strongly preferred
- Willingness and ability to travel domestically (required)
