Mechanical Engineer, Thermal Systems; from three to eight

Your role will be to participate in engineering, select technology and execute mechanical and multidisciplinary projects in the mining, energy and heavy industry sectors. You’ll be part of our team specialized in industrial thermal systems. You’ll work with world-class experts and be exposed to a variety of situations to develop your technical skills in pumping, energy recovery, piping, generator sets and fuel systems for a range of industrial applications.

• Actively participate in carrying out small, medium and large multidisciplinary mandates within a work team of engineers and technicians
• Work with the team on innovation projects involving decarbonization and energy recovery in the industrial sector
• Design heat recovery systems (power systems: cooling and heating loops)
• Carry out studies and detailed engineering mandates for clients with brownfield, expansion or greenfield projects
• Assist more experienced personnel with the technical aspects of complex tasks
• Occasionally coordinate the work of drafters or others, at the request of a senior engineer

• Bachelor s degree in a mechanical engineering program
• Excellent knowledge of MSOffice Suite and other applications, databases and interfaces
• Knowledge of one or more of the following fields of application: pumping, HVAC building services and thermal systems
• Advanced English skills to facilitate collaboration with other BBA offices and/or clients in English-speaking Canadian provinces and internationally; you may need to use English occasionally or daily, depending on current projects
• Advanced French skills to facilitate collaboration with other BBA offices and/or clients in Québec
• Asset: knowledge of AutoCAD, Navisworks and AFTFathom applications
• Asset: mechanical experience in the heavy industry, energy or mining sectors
