Deployment Engineer; LCA & Data ClimateTech

Intro

As a Deployment Engineer (LCA Focus) at carbmee, you will be the critical link between enterprise data and environmental science. You won’t just move data—you will take full ownership of transforming raw industrial and supply chain data into high-fidelity Life Cycle Assessments (LCA), product carbon footprints (PCF) or Environmental product declarations (EPD). This role blends data engineering with environmental domain expertise.

• Granular Decarbonization:
  Enable customers to move beyond high-level estimates to product‑specific insights that drive actual engineering and procurement changes.
• Regulatory Readiness:
  Ensure deployments meet the data rigor required for LCA, EPD, PCF and CBAM.
• Scalability:
  Transform LCA from a one‑off consultancy project into a continuous, live operational process.

• 2+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Solution Architecture, or Technical Consulting, ideally with exposure to LCA software or carbon accounting.
• Technical Foundation:
  Expert proficiency in SQL and Python for data transformation and API integrations.
• Domain Knowledge:
  Strong understanding of LCA methodologies (ISO 14040/44, 14067) and the Greenhouse Gas Protocol.
• ERP Expertise:
  Familiarity with how Bill of Materials (BOM) and energy data are stored in systems like SAP (S/4
  
  HANA) or Oracle.
• Analytical Rigor:
  You are obsessed with data quality and understand how a minor error in a functional unit can lead to massive discrepancies in impact reporting.
• Communication:
  Ability to explain the technicalities of "Characterization Factors" or "Allocation Rules" to both data engineers and business procurement leads.
• Fluency:
  English is required;
  German is a significant advantage.
