Location: North West England (Home Based)
Reports To: Service Manager
Home-based Field Service Engineer supporting paper manufacturing customers across the North West. Part of the Northern Service Team, providing 24/7 technical support for QCS and DCS systems. This role combines hands‑on field service, customer support, and preventative and corrective maintenance.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver Service Agreement scope, including preventative and corrective maintenance
- Support, configure, calibrate, modify, and troubleshoot QCS/DCS equipment
- Provide on‑site and remote technical support, including out‑of‑hours assistance
- Participate in 1 week in 3 on‑call rota
- Build strong working relationships with production and engineering teams
- Advise customers on maintenance, operational methods, process measurement, and control
- Travel across the UK as required
- Prepare technical reports using Service Pro and other reporting tools
- Minimum HNC in Electrical or Measurement & Control Engineering (essential)
- Clean UK driving licence (essential)
- Self‑motivated, able to work independently
- Strong customer focus and networking skills
- Results‑oriented with good commercial awareness
- Knowledge of the paper industry (desirable)
- Experience with QCS or DCS systems (desirable)
