Engineer and team leader – Power System Studies

By joining our team, you’ll help with the various stages of project delivery, including proposals, site surveys, designing and drafting technical reports and final site delivery. • Lead engineering projects in protection, arc-flash and power system disturbance studies as well as other qualitative power system studies
• Perform surveys in electrical installations
• Draft high-quality technical reports to support our clients
• Apply established work methods and improve them
• Help manage staff of a small team
• Onboard new resources as well as coach, advise, guide and support team members
• Plan, carry out and follow up on employee evaluation or development meetings, including setting performance objectives

Summary of certifications and job requirements

• University degree in engineering
• More than five years of experience in power system study projects
• Experience managing a team of two to five resources
• Willingness to take the “From Professional to Manager” training offered by the HR department (after starting the position)
• Available for short- and long-term work assignments at client sites in Canada
• Advanced English skills to facilitate collaboration with other BBA offices and/or clients in English-speaking Canadian provinces and internationally; you may need to use English occasionally or daily, depending on current projects
• Advanced French skills to facilitate collaboration with other BBA offices and/or clients in Québec
