Cutting Edge Music Tech - On-Demand Vinyl Records

We are seeking a Junior Robotics R&D Engineer to help us redefine the physical and digital music industry. We've invented a new technology to produce on-demand vinyl records and built a web platform for music creators to create and sell their products worldwide via our store at zero cost. We partner with leading record labels, streaming services, digital providers, distributors, and iconic global artists to build a global solution for physical media, but most importantly, we give small and emerging artists frictionless access to offer vinyl and CDs to their fans through our innovative solution and planned production/fulfilment centres in Europe, the USA, and Asia.

We are looking for a motivated and results-driven Junior Robotics R&D Engineer to join our dynamic R&D Engineering team. As a Junior Robotics R&D Engineer, you will be responsible for assisting in the design, development, testing, and implementation of robotic systems and applications. These systems will be used to streamline the production process, as well as new systems being prototyped and developed to solve complex challenges.
This is an exciting opportunity to work at the intersection of robotics, automation, and music manufacturing, contributing to the development of innovative solutions in a fast-growing startup environment.

Responsibilities
  • Implement bespoke systems to automate manual processes.
  • Integrate new systems with existing machinery to streamline production processes.
  • Own projects from initial conceptualisation and prototyping, through to testing, commissioning, and handover.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers to design and prototype robotic systems and components.
  • Assist in the development of systems for robot control and automation.
  • Conduct tests and experiments to evaluate system performance and troubleshoot issues.
  • Develop hardware and software solutions to ensure the seamless operation of robotic systems.
  • Document technical processes, test results, and system configurations.
Qualifications
  • Master’s degree (2:1) in Robotics/Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience (including internships, or relevant work experience) in robotics/mechatronics.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, or MATLAB.
  • Familiarity with robotics platforms and tools (e.g., ROS, Arduino, Raspberry Pi).
  • Basic knowledge of electrical circuit theory.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and a proactive approach to managing change.
Desirable
  • Experience with 3D modelling and CAD software.
  • Experience working with PLC-based systems.
  • Knowledge of sensing and perception systems (e.g., vision systems).
  • Understanding of embedded systems.
  • Hands-on experience with robotic hardware and mechanical design.
  • Hands‑on experience integrating robotic hardware and software systems.
