Sr Staff Validation Engineer
We are looking for an experienced Sr Staff Validation engineer to join the Automotive System Power Business Division in the Power Product Group. The successful candidate will work on Automotive Battery Management SoCs targeted for diverse product portfolios.
Essential Functions- Drive the complete validation for BMS SoC products ensuring alignment with business objectives and customer needs.
- Conceptualize and build a validation environment for high precision measurements including measurement tools such as Source Measure Units, Digital Multimeters, Power supplies, oscilloscopes, signal generators, thermos streamer and so on to do validation work.
- Proficiency in embedded C for microcontrollers and scripting for automation (Python). Experience in GUI development is a good to have skill.
- Review product definition and design documentation and provide inputs.
- Drive the development of test board schematic and layout design.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product definition, product engineering, ATE, and design) to drive Renesas product adoption by customers.
- Create validation documentation such as test plans and work on specification compliance matrix after discussions with the product lead.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related technical field.
- 10–12 years of experience in product validation within the semiconductor industry.
- 5+ years of experience in product validation within the Battery Management System validation domain.
- Strong understanding of BMS SoC blocks (Battery Current Measurement, Cell Voltage Measurement, Cell Balancing and Gate Drivers).
- Python programming skill for automated lab evaluation
- English communication skill to work with global team
- Proven experience in product validation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including executive-level messaging and presentations.
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural, cross-functional environment.
- Business acumen with the ability to balance technical depth and market insight.
- Familiarity with automotive market technical trends.
- Self‑starter with a proactive mindset and strong analytical and strategic thinking capabilities.
