We’re looking for a Senior Electronic Engineer
. Based at our Weymouth or Greenford site
, you’ll design and deliver advanced electronic hardware solutions for complex, safety‑critical maritime systems, working across the full product lifecycle in a hybrid environment (2–3 days onsite per week).

- Designing, developing and testing analogue and digital electronic circuits and systems
- Leading your own work packages across the full design lifecycle, from concept to build and verification
- Preparing technical documentation and presenting at peer and design reviews
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams to solve complex system‑level challenges
- Supporting compliance with engineering processes, safety standards and quality requirements
- Providing technical guidance and mentoring where appropriate
- Degree (or equivalent qualification) in Electronic or Electrical Engineering
- Strong background in analogue and digital electronics design
- Hands‑on experience with schematic capture, circuit development, build and test activities
- Experience working within structured engineering or regulated environments
- Ability to work independently with a systems‑level mindset
- Clear communication skills and confidence contributing to technical discussions
This role requires you to undergo Baseline Personnel Security Standard Check (BPSS) as a minimum and will require further national security vetting checks.
In line with Baseline Security requirements, candidates will be asked to provide evidence of identity, eligibility to work in the UK and employment and/or education history for up to three years.
This role will require SC Clearance.It would be advantageous if currently held; however, if not currently held, it is a requirement that the successful applicant will undergo, achieve and maintain SC Clearance. Please visit the UKSV website for further guidance.
To be eligible for full SC, you generally need to have resided in the UK for the last 5 years. In some circumstances, a minimum of 3 years’ residence in the UK over the last 5 years may be accepted, with additional overseas checks.
