About the Role

As a Senior Health, Safety & Wellbeing Advisor, you’ll be at the heart of that mission — influencing behaviours, shaping safer ways of working and driving a culture where Zero Harm is the norm. This is a highly visible, hands‑on role where you’ll work closely with project teams, supply chain partners and clients across our Power Transmission & Distribution projects, making a real difference on site, every day.
What you’ll be doing- Be a strong, consistent presence on site, encouraging safe behaviours and visible safety leadership
- Provide expert Health & Safety advice, guidance and coaching to operational teams
- Lead and support planned and unplanned inspections, audits and joint tours, producing clear, impactful reports
- Support projects from the planning and design stage, helping teams identify and control risk using the hierarchy of control
- Actively engage with operatives, supervisors and managers to find safer, smarter ways of working
- Deliver engaging HS&W awareness training, briefings and toolbox talks
- Work closely with the supply chain and subcontractors, offering guidance and constructive challenge
- Support incident, near miss and accident investigations, ensuring lessons learned are shared and embedded
- Champion behavioural safety initiatives and relentlessly pursue opportunities to challenge the norm
- Contribute to wider local and national HS&W initiatives, best practice sharing and continuous improvement
- Chair weekly HS&W project meetings, working collaboratively with operational leads
We’re looking for someone who combines technical HS&W expertise with strong people skills and the confidence to influence at all levels.
You’ll ideally have- NEBOSH National Certificate (or equivalent)
- Proven experience in a similar HS&W role within construction, utilities or infrastructure
- Strong communication, influencing and engagement skills
- A proactive, approachable and collaborative style
- Experience supporting investigations and maintaining accurate HS&W records
- A passion for coaching, developing others and improving safety culture
