Responsibilities

(Please note this position is a remote based role and we can accept candidates that currently reside in the states of CA, AZ, WA, OR, and CO)

New opportunity for a Field Service Engineer with the Bruker Chemspeed Automation division to perform installation, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and application support for complex scientific automation instrumentation at customer sites. This position serves as the Bruker Chemspeed technical ambassador at various customer locations and collaborates with engineering, applications teams, sales, and end‑users to ensure successful deployments and sustained service performance.

  • Install new or modified Chemspeed automation systems and accessories at customer facilities.
  • Perform on‑site preventive maintenance, calibration, qualification, upgrades, and repairs of Chemspeed instrumentation.
  • Diagnose technical problems through in‑depth troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis.
  • Provide customer training, application support, and remote/on‑site assistance.
  • Document all service activities and maintain accurate system configuration records.
  • Collaborate with internal technical teams to improve designs and report field issues.
  • Maintain readiness for travel and respond to routine or urgent service calls.
  • Represent Bruker professionally and build long‑term customer relationships.
  • Actively attend and participate in life science technology and product training.
Qualifications
  • B.S. in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Biotech, Biology or Chemistry discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years Field Service Engineer work experience involving scientific instrumentation, technical support, robotics and automation in a laboratory environment.
  • Hands on working knowledge of networked instrumentation, Windows.
  • Strong mechanical, electrical, and software troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent customer focus with ability to reliably respond to inquiries, communicate and interact with scientists.
