Estimated Duration: 12+ months with possible extensions
Work Setting: 100% of the time at the Client’s site. No telecommuting or remote work. This is a non-negotiable requirement from the client.
- Availability to work 100% of the time at the Client’s site in Juno Beach, FL (required)
- Experience in project estimating, with a focus on conceptual engineering and project design (2+ years)
- Experience in utility-scale energy projects, including renewable energy, power generation, and transmission infrastructure
- Experience in engineering principles and practices
- Experience with construction methods, materials, and equipment
- Experience with industry standards and best practices in project estimating and cost management.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
- Experience in project estimating, with a focus on conceptual engineering and project design (3+ years)
- Master’s or Post-Graduate Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business or a related field.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates at conceptual, preliminary, and definitive stages for new and existing projects.
- Develop conceptual engineering designs and preliminary construction plans to support accurate scope quantification.
- Collaborate with engineering, procurement, construction teams, and suppliers to gather specifications, drawings, and competitive pricing for estimate development.
- Perform value engineering and risk assessments to identify cost‑saving opportunities and establish contingency plans.
- Build, refine, and maintain estimating tools, databases, and methodologies to improve accuracy and efficiency.
- Track project costs and variances throughout the lifecycle, updating estimates to reflect scope, design, or market changes.
- Present estimates, value‑engineering options, and cost impacts to senior management, stakeholders, and clients while ensuring compliance with company and regulatory standards.
