About the Role

Centrix Control Solutions is expanding its team and has an immediate opening for a Technical Sales Representative responsible for promoting and supporting our world-class product lines. Based in Grande Prairie or Fort St John areas, the successful candidate will be responsible for a set territory covering a diverse group of customers including consultants, head offices, site personnel, and OEMs. Our core markets in this area include water & wastewater, pulp & paper, oil & gas.

Here's a Snapshot of How You'll Contribute to Our Team

  • Technical Sales Representative for existing and new customer base in Grande Prairie and Fort St John areas.
  • Actively pursue new business opportunities to expand installed product market share.
  • Provide technical support on products and promote various Centrix service offerings.
  • Perform internal/external product seminars and presentations.
  • Increase sales and profitability in assigned territory.
  • Liaise with principal manufacturers.
  • Self-motivated, independent individual with the drive to constantly learn and promote new sales.
  • Work with difficult customers and resolve problems and issues.
  • Communicate and interact with customers in a professional manner.
  • Strong interpersonal & communication skills.
  • Computer skills;
    Microsoft Office suite.
  • Frequent travel between Grande Prairie and Fort St John areas.
  • Frequent travel out of town and overnight.
  • Quarterly Travel to Centrix offices for training, and product meetings.
  • Participate in industry associations.
  • Who We're Looking For

  • Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical/Instrumentation Technology/Technician Diploma.
  • Minimum 3 years of industry experience within municipal, mining, and/or pulp & paper industries.
  • Previous technical sales experience is an asset.
  • Previous experience with valves and actuation in the water & wastewater, pulp & paper, oil & gas industry.
  • Clean drivers abstract with an affinity for safety.
