Our client is hiring a Senior Technical Lead to support major water and wastewater infrastructure projects. This role is based in Baltimore, Maryland, Richmond, Virginia or Arlington, Virginia, with flexibility for remote work across the U.S.
About the RoleAs a Subject Matter Expert (SME), you'll lead the technical delivery of large-diameter linear infrastructure projects, including sewer and transmission main design, CSO systems, and rehabilitation programs. You'll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and play a key role in mentoring junior staff and shaping project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Lead technical design and quality review for complex water/wastewater infrastructure programs.
- Coordinate multi-disciplinary design deliverables including drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.
- Develop technical approaches and fee estimates for proposals.
- Mentor and train engineering and design staff.
- Represent the firm through technical presentations and professional affiliations.
- B.S. in Civil or Environmental Engineering (12+ years of experience preferred).
- Expertise in large-diameter water transmission mains, sewage force mains, gravity systems, CSO, and stormwater conveyance.
- Experience with trenchless technologies, pumping stations, and water storage design is a plus.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Professional licensure in relevant regions (or ability to obtain via reciprocity).
- Existing client relationships in water/wastewater or resiliency sectors are a plus.
