Position: FPGA Engineer (Cyprus)
Location: Greater London

The FPGA Development Engineer will work alongside our hardware team and take a large degree of responsibility for developing and maintaining FPGA firmware. Our product range includes X-ray detector panels (), CMOS image sensors () plus a range of custom products based around ISDI's image sensor technology.

The role will be based in Cyprus, mainly remote working with occasional travel to London and Austria, and working closely with our wafer test facility in Cyprus.

  • Bachelors, Masters or equivalent in electronic or electrical engineering, software or similar discipline
  • At least 5 years’ experience in the electronics industry, in a test, design, research or applications role.
  • VHDL, Verilog coding and verification using Vivado, Vitis, Model Sim
  • Basic embedded software (Micro Blaze)
  • AMD device experience (Artix, Kintex or Zynq)
  • Experience of the firmware project lifecycle from requirements though design flow and verification release.
  • Debug using ILA and physical lab tools
  • V&V including testbench design and documentation.
  • Integration of 3 rd party IP.
  • Circuit design - analogue and digital
  • Data acquisition and image sensor interfacing
  • Embedded design (C, C++) on STM
    32, RISC-V or similar.
  • Experience in image processing and analysis software:
    Matlab, ImageJ
  • Methodical, precise.
  • Team worker: idea sharing, communication
  • Reactive, adaptable to changing priorities
Role and responsibilities
  • Firmware development for imaging-based FPGA applications
  • Set up and maintain IP libraries and databases.
  • Reverse-engineer some legacy designs, replicate the functions.
  • Collaborate with R&D team in resolving customer issues and new feature requests.
  • Create and maintain semiconductor wafer tester firmware
