What we’re looking for
The LR Advisory group is seeking a qualified Intermediate Engineer in compressible flows and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) to join our experienced Explosion and Fluid Dynamics Team in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. Our Canadian advisory team is an established engineering research and consulting group specializing in the development and application of advanced engineering solutions for clients in the marine, public safety, and defense sectors.

Provide consultancy services in areas relating to explosive blast, reactive flows, compressible-flow computational fluid dynamics, and structural response to blast through application of new models and modification of existing codes

Develop and maintain internal software using agreed upon code standards and associated processes

Deliver agreed upon project scope of work on time and on budget. Contribute to, and prepare, technical reports and scientific publications

Provide clear and concise communication with clients and internal/external stakeholders

Build relationships with internal and external clients, be hands on in assessing complex problems, and help build the business

Participate in proposal development and provide estimates for own time

Take personal responsibility for delivering own goals and targets, without requiring significant supervision

Pursue Continuous Professional Development while maintaining a high degree of discipline, knowledge and awareness. Take ownership for own development, seeking opportunities for self-development
