We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced ES&H Security Compliance and Assurance Analyst to join our team. If you are eager to join a dynamic team dedicated to addressing critical challenges in national security, we want to hear from you!
On any given day, you may be called on to:- Conduct risk-based audits, special management reviews, and comprehensive studies related to Environmental, Safety & Health, Safeguards & Security, and Quality performance and compliance throughout the entire lifecycle from initial planning to final reporting and follow-up activities as necessary.
- Perform facility and work area inspections, as well as interviewing personnel across all levels of management.
- Review work plans and hazard controls to assess their reliability and effectiveness.
- Provide management with expert advice on best practices to address performance and compliance challenges.
- Conduct causal analysis to identify underlying issues.
- Develop and recommend risk mitigation strategies, including enhancements to Sandia
¿ s policies, processes, and tools to foster improved safety and security practices. - Build strong communication and relationships with organizational leadership, ESSH&Q teams, and the broader stakeholder community, including the Department of Energy (DOE).
- Collaborate with fellow auditors, assessors, and subject matter experts as needed during audits.
- Create and maintain high-quality audit documentation using audit management software (Team Mate).
The selected applicant can work a combination of onsite and offsite work. The selected applicant must live within a reasonable distance for commuting to the assigned work location when necessary.
Salary Range:$85,100 - $193,600
* Salary range is estimated, and actual salary will be determined after consideration of the selected candidate's experience and qualifications, and application of any approved geographic salary differential.
Qualifications We Require:- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Audit, or related STEM field (e.g., Industrial Hygiene, Health Physics, Engineering), plus five (5) or more years of directly related experience.
- Experience in internal or external audits, assessments, and/or investigations.
- Ability to obtain and maintain DOE L- level Security Clearance.
- A Master's degree or higher as mentioned above.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to deliver effective presentations.
- Proven experience in leading projects and collaborating within teams to achieve objectives.
- Building and maintaining strong internal and external relationships.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a diverse team to fulfill organizational missions and objectives.
- Proven ability to adapt to changing deadlines and priorities effectively.
