Remote Windows Infrastructure Engineer

TEKsystems is looking to bring on an IT Infrastructure Engineer–level resource to support operational workload as well as several upcoming infrastructure initiatives. This role will be 100% remote and work typical Alaska business hours Monday through Friday. The position is highly hands‑on and will collaborate closely with the Infrastructure Architect and internal IT teams.

• Manage and support physical and virtual infrastructure including servers, storage, networking, virtualization, and cloud services.
• Monitor system performance, availability, and security.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues across on‑prem and cloud environments.
• Participate in disaster recovery, business continuity, and incident response activities.
• Implement or support security controls such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, patching, and system hardening.
• Deploy or maintain technologies including Windows Server, VMware/Hyper‑V, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and related platforms.
• Collaborate closely with Infrastructure Architecture and internal IT teams to ensure stability and reliability.

• Strong hands‑on experience with enterprise infrastructure technologies.
• Solid troubleshooting capability across systems, networks, and virtualization.
• Experience supporting both operational workload and project‑based initiatives.
• Security‑minded with familiarity in patching, hardening, and core security controls.
• Someone proactive, execution‑focused, and comfortable balancing multiple priorities.

This is a Contract position based out of Las Vegas, NV.

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $55.00/hr.
