Systems Engineer
TEKsystems is looking to bring on an IT Infrastructure Engineer–level resource to support operational workload as well as several upcoming infrastructure initiatives. This role will be 100% remote and work typical Alaska business hours Monday through Friday. The position is highly hands‑on and will collaborate closely with the Infrastructure Architect and internal IT teams.
What You’ll Do- Manage and support physical and virtual infrastructure including servers, storage, networking, virtualization, and cloud services.
- Monitor system performance, availability, and security.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues across on‑prem and cloud environments.
- Participate in disaster recovery, business continuity, and incident response activities.
- Implement or support security controls such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, patching, and system hardening.
- Deploy or maintain technologies including Windows Server, VMware/Hyper‑V, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and related platforms.
- Collaborate closely with Infrastructure Architecture and internal IT teams to ensure stability and reliability.
- Strong hands‑on experience with enterprise infrastructure technologies.
- Solid troubleshooting capability across systems, networks, and virtualization.
- Experience supporting both operational workload and project‑based initiatives.
- Security‑minded with familiarity in patching, hardening, and core security controls.
- Someone proactive, execution‑focused, and comfortable balancing multiple priorities.
This is a Contract position based out of Las Vegas, NV.
Pay And BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $50.00 - $55.00/hr.
