What will the work look like for me? As a Daktronics Project Management Student, you will be involved in all phases of a project from Sales support to contract fulfillment. After demonstrated performance, Project Management Students will have the opportunity to manage projects and travel to project sites for event support, installation, and onsite supervision.

• Project Management assistance for projects from various Sports and Commercial markets.
• Assistance with:
  • Writing scopes of work, project pricing and estimates, sending and receiving project correspondence, and project documentation.
  • Sales support for project proposal generation, quoting, and technical presentation.
  • Initiation and organization of contract documents, subcontract documents, and general project correspondence.
  • Generating and monitoring project budgets and schedules.
  • Project management of standard orders and custom projects which may include installation and hiring of subcontractors under the guidance of Project Managers.
• Coordination of internal project tasks including:
  • Sales to Engineering representations, systems design, project accounting, material requisition, manufacturing/product throughput, pulling and shipping project parts, and management feedback.
• Work effectively as a team member, work with little supervision, help when and where needed, make and implement suggestions for product and process improvement, and communicate effectively with Sales, customers, and project team members.
• On-site project installation supervision or supervision assistance for projects.
• Ability to regularly and reliably work scheduled hours.
• Perform other duties as assigned and needed to meet customer expectations.

When will I work? Applicants should be available to work approximately 15 hours per week (maximum of 20 hours per week) during the academic year and up to 40 hours per week during the summer.

Where is this opportunity located? Position has the flexibility to work from a South Dakota based home office with a preference to be near Brookings or Sioux Falls. This position is open to candidates eligible to work in the U.S.

What are the pay and perks? The typical hiring range for this position is $19.00 to $21.00 per hour based on the location of Brookings, SD. The actual offer will consider a wide range of factors, including relevant education, experiences, location, and applicable local legislation.

Students with GPA of 3.5 and above may be eligible for a $500 Academic Excellence Reward for each spring and fall semester completed while employed. Additional conditions may apply.
