Position Overview

Woolpert is hiring a Survey/Right of Way Project Manager to join our dynamic Utilities Group. This position will support our Infrastructure Energy industry projects, to ideally be based in or with easy access to the Columbus, OH area. This role may accommodate full-time in-person, hybrid, or primarily remote working arrangements and does require some business travel to field sites and client offices.

What You Will Do:

* Build and maintain strong, supportive relationships, ensuring excellent client service and a collaborative team approach.

* Act as the primary point of contact between clients and internal project teams, ensuring clear communication and expectations; managing schedule, scope, project financials, QA/QC, and deliverables; and anticipating and resolving project issues.

* Monitor project expenses, labor costs, and resource utilization, identifying opportunities for cost optimization and efficiency improvements.

* Set projects, programs, and staff up for success and continuous improvement by applying a structured, step-by-step mindset to create, document, and apply lessons.

* Provide Survey and Right of Way-related technical guidance for both rural and urban energy transmission projects. Relevant skills and experience include:

* Creation of easement exhibits;

* Writing proposals for survey and ROW projects;

* Permitting, particularly in Ohio;

* Familiarity of Utility route selection and coordination;

* Project documentation such as design notes and technical reports.

What You Will Bring:

We are seeking an experienced project manager with a strong foundation in utility ROW and survey projects.

* Minimum of 8 years relevant Right of Way, Survey, or Engineering experience required.

* The ability to drive technical discussion, QA/QC ROW and Survey deliverables, and support a culture of continuous improvements to project deliverables and customer service.

* Strong project management fundamentals.

Experience with proposals, scope/schedule/fee management, and program development preferred.

* A proactive, client-focused approach with the ability to build trust and collaboration, and to communicate effectively both internally and externally.

* Comfort using standard Office software, including Bluebeam, Microsoft Office. Additional relevant software proficiency is preferred (Google Earth, ESRI, Scheduling products, etc).

* Good written and verbal English, including ability to write project notes and short technical reports without AI tools.

* Ability to travel occasionally to field and office locations for local client and project needs.

* A professional registration is preferred but not required.

Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Pay Range

$87,100-$108,900 USD
