What Your Job Will Be Like:Join our Digital Product Definition Team as a dedicated Software Integration Engineer, where we are building enterprise‑scale model‑based definition (MBD) and digital engineering capabilities for the Nuclear Security Enterprise (NSE). In this dynamic role, you develop the software integrations, data pipelines, and automation capabilities that enable model‑based definition (MBD) and digital engineering workflows. This role is ideal for individuals who thrives in a fast‑paced and innovative environment.
Onany given day, you may be called on to:
- Design and implement backend services, CAD/PLM automation solutions, and data‑interoperability frameworks that connect Model‑Based Definition (MBD) models and systems throughout the product realization lifecycle.
- Ensure effective data reuse across software applications to enhance interoperability and support the entire weapon life cycle.
- Leverage strong software engineering fundamentals and knowledge of engineering data structures to drive success in your projects.
- Collaborate closely with the Program Lead and Solutions Architects to align software solutions with strategic goals and technical requirements.
- Contribute to the digitization of mechanical design and manufacturing processes, connecting data from various software applications to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Collaborate at the intersection of computer aided design (CAD) technologies, product data management (PDM), system architecture, and enterprise digital‑thread workflows.
- Contribute to the evolution of the next‑generation digital engineering ecosystem.
- Design, prototype, and deploy new software capabilities.
- Adapt to rapidly evolving requirements, incorporating feedback from both technical and non‑technical stakeholders, and iteratively refine solutions to achieve enterprise‑level objectives in an agile manner.
The selected applicant can be a remote worker located in any U.S. State or District of Columbia. Regular or periodic travel to your assigned work location may be required, with up to 25% of travel necessary to support collaboration, deployment, and coordination activities across the NNSA Nuclear Security Enterprise (NSE) complex.
Salary Range:$114,000 - $227,500
* Salary range is estimated, and actual salary will be determined after consideration of the selected candidate's experience and qualifications, and application of any approved geographic salary differential.
Qualifications We Require:- A bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline and five (5) years of directly relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of directly relevant education and engineering or scientific experience that demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and ability to perform independent research and development.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q Clearance.
