What You Will Do:

• Ensure flow down of product requirements both internally and to sub-tier suppliers through PO requirements, Quality Notes, and statement of works.
• Interpret various program requirements to ensure supply base both understands and complies with these quality requirements.
• Drive continuous product / process improvements of our supply base by identifying supplier risk & systemic performance issues and driving solutions through various tools/methodologies including:
  Root Cause Corrective Actions, Statistical/analytical improvement tools such as Six Sigma and Lean Methodologies.
• Application of APQP processes related to supplier performance and implementation of necessary engagements to improve supplier manufacturing processes.
• Can anticipate some travel (Up to 25%) to support supplier assessments, audits, reviews.
• Represent quality during review boards covering changes to: supplier designs, process changes, qualification tests, and procedure reviews.

• Managing complex supplier base in variety of fields (Electrical, Mechanical, energetic, etc)
• Expand APQP knowledge and experience
• Engagement with critical external stakeholders i.e. DCMA.

The position primarily interfaces with the program team in the Tucson, AZ area in a remote work schedule. Some travel can be expected as part of this role (Up to 25%). This position currently is designated as remote. Employees who are working in remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home) but may be expected to travel to the site location as needed.

The successful candidate for this role will be required to reside and work from one of the 50 U.S. states (excluding U.S. territories).

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Typically Requires Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) and 5 years’ experience in quality engineering, manufacturing, or related engineering discipline.
• Previous experience conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
• Experience with one or more of the following Quality Management standards: ISO 9001, AS9100, AS9145, or MDA Assurance Provisions.
• Previous experience interpretating schematic drawings and hardware inspection techniques.
• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

• Six Sigma, Lean, and/or American Society for Quality (ASQ) Certification (CQE, CQM/OE, CSQE, CQA, CRE, etc.)
• Proven successes in building and maintaining relationships with multiple suppliers/ customers.
• Experience in DoD product and process oversight including requirements, build, integration, test, and delivery.
• Experience in engineering, development, project planning, and collaborating remotely.
• Working knowledge of ISO 9001/AS9100 quality management systems, AS9145 Requirements for APQP & PPAP, and FAI Standard AS9102.
• Experience working with one or more of the following aerospace or commercial equivalent preventative tools — Statistical Process Control (SPC), Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Quality Function Deployment (QFD), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), Lean Manufacturing, Control Plans, other process improvement tools
• General knowledge of industry technical standards (such as ANSI, CMMI, ASTM, etc.)
