Junior Project Engineer

Overview

Junior Engineer – Yorkshire – £32,000 - £42,000 per year, 21 days holiday + bank holidays, standard pension, hybrid working (75% home/office, 25% on-site), mileage reimbursement.

My client is an established consultancy delivering electricity distribution projects across Yorkshire. They focus on quality delivery, mentoring engineers, and providing opportunities to develop technical skills in a supportive environment.

• Assist with engineering design, documentation, and cost preparation
• Support delivery of project-based works safely and to company standards
• Carry out site visits, audits, and inspections under supervision
• Liaise with suppliers, contractors, customers, and stakeholders
• Contribute to project planning, reporting, and resource management

• HNC-qualified or working toward equivalent
• 2+ years' experience in electricity distribution or transmission
• Basic knowledge of distribution asset classes up to 11kV
• Understanding of cables, OHL, substations, and civil works
• Motivated, keen to learn, and proactive
