Job Description
The Solution Services Project Manager is responsible for the scoping, planning, coordination, and successful execution of NWS Strategic Solution Services across all customer segments and vertical markets in the US and Canada. This role ensures that service engagements are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and with first-time quality—driving customer satisfaction and margin-rich services growth for the organization.
The Project Manager will work closely with sales, engineering, operations, logistics, and field resources to develop project scopes, support pricing and proposals, and manage end-to-end project delivery. This role supports a wide range of service offerings including kitting and logistics solutions, network engineering and design, consultative technical staffing, and deployment services (installation, commissioning, and integration support). Engagements will span Contractors & Wireless, Wireless Carriers, Internet Service Providers (ISPs/WISPs), and infrastructure owners.
Key Responsibilities Project Scoping & Planning- Partner with sales, engineering, and operations teams to define detailed project scopes, deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements.
- Support pricing development, proposal inputs, and services-based cost modeling to ensure profitable, well-structured engagements.
- Create and maintain comprehensive project plans, schedules, and documentation.
- Lead end-to-end delivery of service engagements across kitting/logistics, network engineering and design, technical staffing, and deployment services.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams—including logistics, engineering, field services, and subcontractors—to ensure seamless execution.
- Proactively manage project risks, dependencies, issues, and change requests.
- Serve as the primary project point of contact for internal teams and customers.
- Provide clear, timely communication regarding project status, milestones, risks, and required actions.
- Ensure that expectations are aligned and that deliverables meet defined quality and technical standards.
- Drive first-time quality across all deliverables through rigorous planning, documentation, and oversight.
- Track and manage project budgets, labor usage, materials, and service-related costs.
- Ensure projects are delivered on schedule while adhering to budget and margin expectations.
- Promote a culture of safety and ensure all field and operational activities comply with NWS safety policies and industry standards.
- Validate that subcontractors and partner resources follow all required safety practices and documentation protocols.
- Work closely with sales, sales engineering, operations, logistics, and finance to ensure alignment and smooth project execution.
- Provide ongoing feedback to improve service offerings, documentation, tools, and delivery processes.
Project Performance
- On-time delivery rate across assigned service engagements.
- Budget adherence and margin retention at or above target levels.
- First-time quality metrics, including rework rates and punch-list items.
- Zero recordable safety incidents on managed projects.
- Compliance with safety protocols, documentation, and training requirements.
- Customer satisfaction or NPS scores for completed engagements.
- Rate of repeat business or follow-on service requests.
- Accuracy of project scoping, scheduling, and resource planning.
- Effective management of subcontractors, field teams, and partner resources.
- Documentation completeness and compliance with standards.
- Timely and accurate communication of project updates and status reports.
- Cross-functional alignment and feedback responsiveness.
- 5+ years of project management experience in telecommunications, network deployment, engineering services, or related technical fields.
- Strong understanding of wireless, fiber, ISP/WISP, or network infrastructure environments.
- Experience managing field deployment, installation, commissioning, or technical service projects preferred.
- Solid knowledge of project budgeting, scheduling, and risk management principles.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to collaborate across multiple teams and manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
- PMP certification or equivalent experience preferred but not required.
- Commitment to safety and first-time quality in all project phases.
- Ability to travel, up to 50%.
