The Opportunity with Mc Kinstry

We are looking for an Associate Mechanical Engineer to join our Engineering and Design division. This role combines project management, technical expertise, and mentorship for junior staff, focusing on HVAC replacements in existing buildings, primarily in Seattle, supporting projects like steam conversions, rooftop units, boilers, chillers, and tenant improvements across various markets.

Engineers at McKinstry excel at innovative problem solving and practical design, considering the entire lifecycle of buildings for optimal performance, safety, energy efficiency, and environmental protection.

Responsibilities include:

  • Contributing to project delivery across various clients and sectors
  • Leading projects as project manager and senior engineer
  • Collaborating on design development
  • Participating in project planning and execution
  • Preparing proposals and managing client relationships
  • Managing staffing and resources for projects
Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience
  • PE license required
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience
  • Experience with AutoCAD/Revit preferred; familiarity with MATLAB, VBA, Python, and other tools is a plus
