Overview

Wastewater Treatment Senior Project Manager role at Jacobs in the Houston, Texas area. The position focuses on building strategic partnerships, winning and delivering large, complex wastewater projects with municipal clients, and supporting two primary areas:
One Water Solutions and wastewater-focused business development in the Texas Water Market Growth. You will work with the Houston, Texas, broader Texas and National Water Leadership teams to achieve objectives. Bring your project management experience, the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced consulting environment, and technical expertise to grow professionally over your career.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and deliver large, complex wastewater projects with municipal clients, ensuring scope, schedule, budget, quality, health and safety, and risk management requirements are met.
  • Develop and maintain relationships at all organizational levels and act as the consultant-of-choice for clients.
  • Leverage people management skills to optimize team performance and consistently deliver high-quality technical solutions.
  • Manage projects through all phases of planning, execution, and closeout in line with established project delivery processes.
  • Collaborate with operational sales, Client Account Managers, and senior sales leadership to grow our water business in the Houston area and broader Texas market.
  • Contribute to the development of a Water Market Strategy and lead business development activities, including client relationships, positioning, teaming, proposals, presentations, and contract negotiations.
Qualifications
  • B.S. degree in related engineering, science, or applicable discipline.
  • A minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible Project Management experience delivering water and wastewater treatment projects, with emphasis on municipal consulting.
  • Proven understanding of advanced wastewater treatment processes (including membranes and enhanced biological treatment) and ability to resolve complex technical issues.
  • Strong knowledge of project delivery tools and metrics; track record of leading delivery teams to meet client expectations.
  • Self-motivated, team-oriented, strong data analysis and technical problem-solving skills, and organized.
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain strong client relationships that lead to new and repeat consulting work.

Ideally, you’ll also have:

  • M.S. degree in related engineering, science, or applicable discipline.
  • 15+ years of progressively responsible Project Management experience delivering water and wastewater treatment projects, with emphasis on municipal consulting.
