ROLE DESCRIPTION:

The HSE Consultant will work under the direction of one or more of our Sr. HSE Consultants to provide HSE Consulting Services to our manufacturing client base that spans North America.

In this role the HSE Consultant will be responsible for the following:

  • Development and nurturing of client relationships
  • Completion of quality work products on time that are on or under budget
  • Conducting risk assessments and job hazard analysis
  • Developing health and safety programs
  • Developing and presenting training
  • Conducting Industrial Hygiene Assessments for air and noise under the direction of one our three (3) Certified Industrial Hygienists
  • Writing energy control procedures

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must have 5 or more years hands-on experience in Health & Safety in manufacturing
  • Must possess a working knowledge of the 29 CFR 1910 OSHA regulations
  • Minimum of 1 year conducting industrial hygiene assessments for air and noise
  • Minimum of 1 year experience writing energy control procedures
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health, Environmental Science, or related field is a plus
  • Exceptional time management skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in MSFT Office Suite applications
  • Ability to work unsupervised in a home based work environment
  • A strong mechanical and electrical aptitude
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Relevant certifications and training in the environmental, safety and health domains (i.e. CSP, CIH, CHMM, OHST, etc.) are a plus but not required
  • Valid driver's license and dependable car
  • Able to travel coast to coast with overnight stays as needed. It is common for 50% overnight travel per month in our business.
  • Due to the variation of our client work sites, must be able to work in temperature extremes, wear a respirator, navigate stairs and ladders periodically, and stand or walk on concrete as well as uneven surfaces for long periods of time (8 - 10 hours).

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

The pay structure for this position is a base salary + billable and sales commission + annual bonus. The total compensation package will be based on level of experience and abilities and will range from $65,000 - $110,000 in the first year.

Sentinel Safety Group LLC is headquartered in Columbus, Indiana, and all consultants work from their homes. An established work space or office is required for this role in your home. Time will be split between client sites, your home office and periodic in-person staff meetings held in or near Columbus, Indiana. Sentinel Safety Group LLC does not pay for rented office spaces nor relocation.
