Kent is looking for a Field Engineer to support site execution activities at the Kearl Oil Sands project. This role represents Kent in the field and serves as the primary technical interface between Engineering, Construction, Quality, Contractors, and the Client. The Field Engineer provides real-time technical support to resolve constructability, design, and installation issues, ensuring engineering intent is correctly interpreted and executed in the field.

This is a site-based, hands-on role requiring sound engineering judgment, decisiveness, and the ability to operate independently with minimal home-office support in a demanding industrial environment. This is a fly-in/fly-out project with a 14/7 shift schedule, 12-hour shifts, and camp accommodations at Wapasu.

• Field Support & Technical Guidance:
  Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, piping isometrics, and work packages to respond to contractor technical queries.
• Provide real-time technical support to resolve constructability, design, and installation issues.
• Support troubleshooting of piping, mechanical, structural, and equipment-related issues in the field.
• When requested, provide site information and field data to the Home Office to support engineering design development.
• Support development of small-scale field scopes as requested by the Client’s Construction Management Team (CMT).

• Work closely with the Client to support construction execution activities.
• Ensure contractor technical queries (TQs), including Requests for Information (RFIs), are addressed in a timely manner.
