About The Role
Lead Mechanical Designer with experience in the mining industry to join the Team at our Vancouver or Calgary office.
- Prepare layouts and detail drawings in line with project requirements;
- Deliver design drafting according to required project time frames and standards by coordinating and supervising project members, reviewing deliverables and preparing design and detail drawings in line with requirements;
- Overcome design/schedule issues by maintaining an overview of activity, communicating with the Principal Draftsperson and communicating issues in a timely manner;
- Maintain consistent design drafting standards across projects by communicating expectations and holding project members to account for standards;
- Comply with all of Ausenco corporate policies and procedures by adopting Ausenco Quality Assurance and Occupational Health, Safety and Environment policies, procedures and requirements.
- Advanced diploma or equivalent in mechanical engineering technology
- Minimum 8 years of experience in Mechanical design, plant layout experience with crushing, grinding, materials handling, flotation, slurry, pumping, slurry agitation, particle size classification and separation would also be highly regarded;
- Experience in Mechanical design and drafting of Mineral Processing Plants within a large project, multidisciplinary EPC/EPCM environment
- Proficiency in 2D and 3D modeling:
Plant3D, S3D, Advance Steel - Well-developed written and oral communication skills.
- Experience managing teams and leadership capabilities

Salary range
: $98,000 - $120,000 annually
