What Your Job Will Be LikeWe are seeking an experienced Facilities Technologist in supporting the maintenance, operation, and improvement of facility systems and infrastructure. The selected candidate will collaborate with various teams to ensure that all facilities are safe, efficient, and conducive to the operational needs of the organization. You will utilize your technical expertise to troubleshoot issues, implement solutions, and contribute to projects aimed at enhancing facility performance.
On any given day, you may be called on to:
- Backup for all Team Leaders within the department, which requires knowledge in structural, carpentry, heavy equipment, groups, painting, locksmith, crane work and snow removal
- Manage a fleet of mobile equipment with 150 different items consisting of cranes, trucks, trailers and construction equipment
- Experience coordinating work of maintenance craft and working with MTC represented craftsman
- Assist in maintenance and/or repairs as required
- Solve problems and make recommendations regarding facility operating equipment and systems
- Report and track progress toward goals for schedules and costs related to facility equipment
- Work with facility engineers on the technical aspects of construction, design, start‑up, or operations support and maintenance
- Support operational capabilities within facilities, including construction safety, permitting, document control, space management, energy monitoring, and information technology applications
- Understand and adhere to all applicable SNL and industry regulatory and safety guidelines
- Ensure all results, materials, processes, and final products meet quality specifications and are completed according to established requirements
- Act as an SDR on multiple contracts
Due to the nature of the work, the selected applicant must be able to work onsite 100% of the time.
Salary Range$63,800 - $123,400
* Salary range is estimated, and actual salary will be determined after consideration of the selected candidate's experience and qualifications, and application of any approved geographic salary differential.
Qualifications We Require- High school diploma plus three (3) or more years of directly related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience with the following:
- Operations & Maintenance type work to include working with represented personnel
- Facilities processes specifically related to work planning and control and the execution of work
- Active DOE L‑level security clearance or DOD Secret
- Knowledge and experience in facility maintenance activities, including mechanical, electrical, and structural departments
- Knowledge and understanding Facilities Maximo System
- Understanding of work hazards, safety practices, operating configurations, and lockout/tagout policies and procedures
- Understanding of various physical, mechanical, and electrical documents including drawings, schematics, and operations manuals
- Experience with structural, welding, heavy equipment, fabrication, carpentry, grounds, snow removal, locksmith and painting
